Potassium

This never actually happened, but upon discussion with ~filia24lunae about this topic, this is what went through my head

So I'm recently taking great interest in elements and the periodic table and got this awesome encyclopedia with awesome photos in it @_@; anyway and I learned that pure Alkali metals (i.e. all those elements on the left side on the table) react violently with water and usually explode upon contact.

This does NOT mean, however, that bananas are in anyway pure alkali metals they ARE high in potassium (and 69% radioactive), but certainly will not explode in water. Sorry, guys.
